Key to Christmas Joy



I think that this may be my favorite key of this year long series.


“Joy to the World!” When I hear this song my thoughts are flooded with memories of pure joy. At Christmas Eve service as far back as I can remember the lights would be shut off, the candles lit, we would sing Silent Night always to be followed by an exuberant “Joy to the World”.


Key to Christmas Joy features a Heartstring Primitives design by the very talented Beth Twist. This key fob measures 2 ½ by 3 inches. It is backed with a cotton print featuring a holly design. The key fob is filled with crushed walnut shells for weight, aged, and then edged with little “x’s” over the seams. An evergreen faux suede ribbon is used to attach the antique skeleton key to the fob. The key can be removed if you would prefer to use it as a scissor fob for your favorite sewing scissors.

Keys to Giving Thanks

Before celebrating the coming season of Christmas, we must first give thanks to the dear Lord for all the blessings that have been bestowed upon us. I’ve been enjoying my favorite Thanksgiving songs “We Gather Together” and “Simple Gifts”. They warm my heart each time I hear them…

It is backed with a coordinating cotton print of tiny pumpkin vines, aged, and edged with little “x’s” over the seams. An antique key has been tacked on with little stitches.
